Get ready for a Halloween spectacle like never before as Kidz Fashion Week (KFW) presents its highly anticipated “Gets Spooky” Halloween-themed fashion runway event! This year, KFW is thrilled to partner with top brands such as Spotlight, The Reject Shop, SHEIN, Target, Big W, KMart, and Lombards to deliver an unforgettable spooky fashion experience.

Event Details:

  • Date: October 26th
  • Location: Melbourne 
  • Shows: Two shows on the day, with each model participating in one show
  • Age Range: Children aged 5-17 years old

This extraordinary event promises to uphold the high-caliber production that KFW is renowned for, with a unique twist. Children will don Halloween-themed costumes and couture, designed to be both spooky and spectacular. From face painting by some of Australia’s best artists to professional choreography, this event is set to dazzle and entertain audiences of all ages.

Auditions Now Open! Children who are fearless and ready to embrace the spooky theme are invited to audition. We would like to invite all agency kids to go straight through to a LIVE casting PLEASE submit all kids aged between 5-17 all genders welcome and abilities too. The models cast will be gifted with take home sponsored goodies and vouchers plus they will receive all professional photos taken by our photographers.

Rehearsal Schedule:

  • September School Holidays: One day between Sept 21-6 Oct
  • October 19 & 20: Mandatory rehearsals Only one of those days (TBA)

DIY and Sponsored Outfits: Models can showcase sponsored outfits from our partnered brands or unleash their creativity in our DIY section, allowing for a personalized touch to their Halloween fashion. Kidz Fashion Week is already generating buzz and promises to be a highlight of the Halloween season. What To Expect At Auditions

Audition Expectations for Kidz Fashion Week - Melbourne “Gets Spooky”

We’re thrilled that you’re interested in auditioning for our Halloween-themed fashion runway event! Below is everything you need to know to prepare for your audition.

What Should I Prepare?

  • Attire: Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. There’s no need for costumes or fancy outfits for the audition.
  • Shoes: Bring a pair of comfortable shoes you can walk in confidently. If you have any experience with heels (for older applicants), bring those as well.
  • Positive Attitude: Bring your enthusiasm and confidence. We want to see your personality shine through!

What Do I Do When I Arrive?

  1. Check-In: Upon arrival, you’ll need to check in at the registration desk. Please arrive 5 minutes early to allow for this process.


What’s the Format?

  • Introduction: Auditions will begin with a brief introduction from our team, explaining the process and what we’re looking for.
  • Walk: You will be asked to walk the runway. Our team will be looking at your posture, confidence, and ability to follow directions.
  • Personality: There will be a short interview where you can tell us about yourself, your interests, and why you want to be part of this spooky event.
  • Poses: You may be asked to strike a few poses to showcase your ability to take direction and express different emotions or characters.

How Long Will It Take?

The entire audition process will take approximately 15 mins. This includes check-in, waiting time, and the actual audition. We aim to make the experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Additional Tips:

  • Relax: We understand auditions can be nerve-wracking, but we’re here to support you. Just be yourself and have fun.
  • Hydrate: Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated.
  • Parents/Guardians: You’re welcome to stay during the audition process, but we ask that you remain in designated areas to minimize distractions.
