What To Expect At Auditions
Dates to Know
- Auditions: 16th November 2025
- Rehearsals Start: Sunday, 23rd November 2025. (Will be regular Sunday’s)
- Possible Additional Rehearsals: 17th January 2026 & 25th January 2026
- Australia Day Weekend: This rehearsal will be on Monday the 26th January 2025.
- Show Week: Bump in & Full Run 1st February 2025, Dress/Tech 2nd & 5th February 2026, Shows 6th & 7th February 2026.
- Additional performance 14th February 2026
Rehearsals will start with vocal learning rehearsals for group numbers then after a few weeks we will commence movement of group numbers. We will work with the all the soloists as well as group numbers and have a director and vocal mentor for overall performance.
These auditions will be fun, and perfection is not expected, it's about showing us a bit of your personality and have some fun.
There are options for your involvement:
- Ensemble; no audition required if a member of a TCS choir.
a. Will be included on all cast number, along with some smaller group numbers (likely 4/5 songs for the evening)
- Performer; audition needed. Come along and show us the song you’d like to perform, or if you have a song in your repertoire that shows your character, show us that.
- Lead Performer; audition needed. Come along and show us the song you’d like to perform, or if you have a song in your repertoire that shows your character, show us that. (2/3 Solo’s)
NB. All cast members are required to attend the movement session to just see how you move. (Please don't panic about this)
The Audition
As the evening is going to be designed around using digital backing tracks, we would prefer that your audition is done to a backing track.
The track can be played from any phone type or digital music storage. Please advise if you would need a CD for your backing track.
